Interactive Map Maker by National Geographic

This is one of the coolest interactive world maps I've seen.  You and your students can find out more information than you can imagine.  Along with tools to customize your map, the following is but a snippet of what you will see:
Ocean surface currents, ocean chlorophyll, sea surface temperature, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, plate tectonics, surface elevation, climate zones, precipitation/rainfall, surface air temperature, population density, language diversity, and even lights at night!
